In Full Bloom

Dress | Shoes | Clutch | Earrings (15% off with code: GOBIG18) | Bracelets | Sunglasses

Happy Wednesday, loves!

From warmer temperatures, to seeing new trends, brighter colors, and transitional pieces, it's obvious that Spring fashion is in full bloom!

Some of the big trends we saw on the runway for Spring were pastels, statement bags, trench coats, checks (gingham is always a must this season), bold colors - especially yellow, and pencil skirts. Also, did I mention florals? Always a seasonal favorite, designers showcased a vintage inspired take on this beloved print. This Trina Turk dress is the perfect example of how designers are playing with this "new" (old) pattern for Spring 2018. The bell sleeves, and mix of green, blue and lavender are totally reminiscent of the 70's!

Next Thursday, March 8th, I am hosting Trina Turk's annual, "Spring Style Out" event at the Galleria, and would love it if you would join me!  They'll be debuting their Spring 2 collection and everyone will receive 20% off their purchase and be entered to win a $250 shopping spree. Full details below!

Sweet Valentine

Dress | Pumps | Earrings | Ring (similar style) | Sunglasses

Happy Valentine's Day, lovebirds!

As soon as I saw this dress, I knew that it was the "one." Red and pink are synonymous with Valentine's Day, but I know I'll be wearing this lace number year round. This dress is so flattering, and the details are perfect. I am wearing a size Small, and feel like it definitely fits TTS.

Whatever you do for Cupid's holiday, I hope you have a fabulous day! xoxo

Wearing Your Heart on Your Sleeve + Last Minute Date Night Ideas

Valentine's Day is only two days away! Whether you're planning an intimate night with your loved one, or going all out, here are some last minute date night ideas!

Get busy in the kitchen. Find a new recipe that you two can make together and have a romantic time at home

Take one another shopping! Seriously, how many times has your beau bought you something you didn't like? Now you can take the guessing out and treat one another to something sweet!

Play tourist in your city (this is something I've always loved doing). Take some time to Google little known things about your town, visit the landmarks, or do something that's been on your list that you've never got around to

Take in a comedy show at a local, small theater

Plan a picnic! Even if it's chilly in your neck of the woods, you can always enjoy the romance of a picnic in your home. Just don't forget the blanket, strawberries, cheese and champagne

Volunteer

Enjoy dinner and a movie. I know it sounds cliche, but what better date night is there?

Head to the spa for a couples retreat

Recreate your first date. If we still lived in San Francisco, this is exactly what I would want to be doing

Cozy up by the fire and rent your favorite romantic movie

Take a mini road trip and enjoy the day exploring

Go to a new workout class together!

Enjoy uninterrupted time together. Turn off your phones, unplug the phone, and just enjoy being in the moment

Whatever you have in store for Wednesday, it's not too late to get a cute outfit. This cozy, mock turtleneck sweater is great for Valentine's Day and year round. I love the heart detailing on the elbows, and the fact that it's only $55. It also comes in grey and navy!

Cobalt & Turquoise Striped Dress

Just like that, we're kicking off a new week!

Did you all tune into the Super Bowl on Sunday? I really wasn't looking forward to it (obviously because my Packers should have been in it), but it ended up being a really great game. I definitely was on the edge of my seat the whole time, and wasn't sure who was going to take home the trophy. More importantly, I was beyond excited for the game to be over so I could watch This is Us. Oh my goodness. If you don't watch the show, you need to start now! While I was sick last month, I caught up on last season and this season, and it is such a great, relateable show. It has it's sad moments, but everything comes full circle and leaves you wanting more!

You may recognize this dress from my post last week. When you like something, you buy it in every color, right? This is my fourth (and favorite) dress in this style, and for obvious reasons. I've worn this to daytime meetings, evening events, and everything in between. What I love about it is that even if the dress errs on the conservative side, I can play it up with jewelry and accessories. For chillier weather, it pairs perfectly with opaque tights and a black faux fur shrug or stole.

Check out the two similar styles I've linked below, as well as a lookalike for my bag that's a fraction of the cost!

The Perfect Tweed Skirt for Every Season

Skirt | Sweater (sold out, similar style) | OTN Boots | Purse (similar style) | Necklace | Earrings | Sunglasses

TGIF, babes! I don't know about you, but it has been a long week! January just flew by, and after being out for the first two weeks of the month with the flu, I feel like I am still trying to play catch up and get everything done. I tackled so many meetings, events and got a lot crossed off my to-do list, but boy, am I happy that it's the weekend. Who else is with me?!

I love everything about this look. It reminds me of Blair Waldorf and the Gossip Girl days. I wore it a few weeks ago to an event hosted by Kérastase. They treated a small group of bloggers to blowouts, followed by a private showing of the Oscar de la Renta exhibit, and dinner. It was a luxuriously glam day. If you're in the Houston area, the exhibit is at the Museum of Fine Arts, and has been extended until March. It was phenomenal, and not to be missed - be sure to check it out.

My skirt is still available in all sizes and comes in petite and regular. It runs true-to-size (I am wearing a 2), and is $70. I love the addition of the gold pocket detailing. It makes this tweed skirt not so simple, and perfectly winter ready.

I hope you all have a great weekend and enjoy some downtime! xo
