To me, styling yourself and decorating your home, go hand-in-hand. I firmly believe in the notion that your home is a reflection of you.

As much as I like going out, I am a huge homebody. I like to think of our home as a melting pot. From different design aesthetics - mainly traditional with a bit of modern and antique flair - to a collection of artwork, artifacts and trinkets representing all the countries and continents we've traveled to, our home holds memories of the past, present and future. I may take a little too much pride in where I live, but since I work from home as well, there's no way I could survive if my house didn't make me smile, feel comfortable and embody me.

When cozying up at home, I love to throw on comfy, casual clothing. I swear, bathrobes are completely underrated. As much as I love my bathrobes, I tend to steer towards feminine pieces. That's what I love about these socks from Chrissy's Knee High Socks. Not only are they fun and on trend, but they also are perfect for going out, or a night spent in. They have hundreds of different styles on their website, allowing you to find a pair in your favorite color combo, print, or guilty pleasure (yes, cupcakes and donuts!). They also have the perfect amount of stretch, ensuring that they are as comfortable as they are fashionable. Whether your lounging in bed catching up on the latest trends with you furry friend, or having a romantic night in with popcorn and wine.

Put A Little Sole Into It

AQUA dress {similar style here & here} | Jimmy Choo heels {similar style herehere & here}| Prada Saffiano wallet | Sole Serum | Adolfo Dominguez necklace {similar style} | Zayver Designs Scarlett bracelet | Bauble Bar ring midi ring | Henri Bendel sunglasses

It was love at first sight when I purchased this dress to be the outfit I wore for my professional photos for, Ashley Nicole Style. If you head on over to my business website, you'll see this dress featured many times, and you'll get a chance to learn a little bit about what I do outside the blogging sphere.

I like how the black and white makes this dress very classic, while the pattern and floral print is a bit unexpected. I wanted to play up the turquoise/green color in the flowers, so I added this Adolfo Dominguez necklace and this gorgeous beaded bracelet from Zayver Designs. I love the tassel detailing on both, but more importantly, I like the fact that the profits from the purchase of this bracelet (which is only $40) goes directly to pediatric cancer research.

I definitely am a shoe lover, but I don't love the pain that comes with wearing some of my favorite high heels. These Jimmy Choo gladiator heels are one of my most uncomfortable pairs, but one that I cannot resist wearing. By the end of the day, my feet ache from walking in four inch heels, and even once the shoes are off, my feet still throb. It wasn't until recently that I found out about Sole Serum. As soon as your feet start to hurt, you put a couple of drops of serum in your hand, rub it on your feet, and truly, you have instant relief. Made up of a mixture of natural ingredients and lidocaine, Sole Serum can be used several times a day. and provides relief for up to two hours. Plus, the sleek design makes it easy to throw in even the smallest handbag, like this Prada Saffiano wallet on a chain, which Adam got for me for our two year anniversary.

Until next time...

Keep Calm and Love Chanel

Frame Denim jeans | Kut From the Cloth jacket {similar styles here & here} | Bird & Vine shirt {similar styles here here} | Valentino Rockstud heels | Chanel purse {more affordable version here} | Balenciaga sunglasses | St. John Knits necklace {an all time fav, similar style} | JORD Wood Watch ℅ | Tiffany & Co silver cuff | David Yurman pearl bracelet onyx bracelet | Rabbit fur pom pom

Good morning and happy Tuesday!

This weekend was a washout, literally. We had so much rain starting on Saturday and lasting through Sunday night. Luckily Adam and I were able catch a ten minute break in the rain to snap these photos.

Much to my excitement, I recently came across a half dozen walls in our new neighborhood covered in street art and graffiti. I love the way these artistic backdrops play up my outfit posts, and this one fit perfectly with today's street chic look.

I bought this graphic tee last year, right before the trend exploded. Chanel and pink?! Yes, please. I wanted to play off the legendary design house and their love of tweed, so I paired the shirt with this tweed and leather jacket I found at Nordstrom Rack (I've linked two similar styles above). I love the way the white leather juxtaposes the ladylike tweed fabric, making this jacket modern and unexpected. I've mentioned it time and again, but I cannot get enough of my Frame Denim jeans. They fit perfectly and true to size.

Speaking of modern and unexpected, let's talk about my wood watch. JORD Wood Watches are so unique and effortless. I have been wearing my Cora watch non-stop since I got it, and I cannot tell you how many compliments I have received. I love how the face of the watch exposes the inner workings of the timepiece, and who could resist the Swarovski crystal markers. The maple wood makes it easy to pair with everything, and the violet hue of the face is perfect color to wear year round. With dozen of styles to choose from for men and women, it makes a great gift for you, your spouse or a family member. It'll definitely have them talking.

Time flies when you're having fun. See you soon!

Shades of Blue

Adorn Apparel dress  | Scarf {purchased in Ecuador, similar style} | H&M leopard belt | Nine West heels {updated version for fall/winter} | Roberto Cavalli sunglasses | H&M necklace {in store, similar style} | Elaine Turner bracelet Kendra Scott earrings ring

Another week has come and gone, and I cannot believe October is nearly over. The next few days are calling for A LOT of rain, so I'm enjoying my high heels before I have to trade them in for rain boots.

This sweater dress, from Adorn Apparel, is perfect for Fall. This dress can easily take you from work to a night on the town. I love the mesh knit detailing on the shoulders and around the wrists. The weight of the dress isn't too heavy, which is great for our hot and humid weather.

When I was in Paris this past March, I saw so many women wearing their scarves long and belted to their clothes. Since then, I've been inspired to work that style into my everyday look. This scarf is one of my favorites because of the gold detailing. My mother and I went crazy buying these when we were in Ecuador, before our trip to the Galapagos Islands. With a price tag of only $3, how could we resist.

We have a festive weekend ahead, which includes the Arthritis Foundations annual Halloween party, the Bone Bash. It is bond to be a spooktacularly good time. Be sure to follow me on Instagram and Facebook to see what I'm wearing to the party, and to join in on all my weekend fun!

The Perfect Bag for a Weekend Getaway

Frame denim | The Fifth Label t-shirt | H&M scarf {previous season, similar style} | Converse tennis shoes | Barrington Gifts St. Anne tote  | Diane Von Furstenberg sunglasses {previous season, similar style} | Kendra Scott necklace earrings ℅ Elaine Turner turquoisemother of pearl and coral bracelets | Brenda Grands black & white bracelet | Golden Bear ring

It's a gloomy Wednesday here in Houston, so what better way to brighten an otherwise dreary day. than with bold patterns and prints.

This colorful St. Anne striped tote from Barrington Gifts has become a fast favorite as my go-to handbag. The size if perfect for everyday use, and is great for travel. From airplane floors, to work cubicles and  dining out at restaurants, our purses are set everywhere. It's a plus in my book when the material can be wiped clean without destroying the bag. The St. Anne tote allows you to do just that. The exterior is made of ballistic nylon, which is water resistant and easy to clean. Another plus, is that this tote comes in at least a dozen prints and patterns. You can add your initials to it, like I did, to make it uniquely your own.

Stay dry and I'll see you on Friday:)

There's No Time Like the Present

Old Navy t-shirt dress (Less than $10!) | B.P. plaid scarf | David & Young gray fedora hat | Nine West booties | AIBI watch  | Ray Ban aviators  | Accessory Concierge spiked bracelet | Henri Bendel cuff | Charming Charlie bracelet

Is it already time for Monday?

This weekend was absolutely stunning. The humidity broke, there was a slight breeze, and we got to enjoy two perfect 80+ degree days. We spent as much time as possible outside - walking Safari (my furry bff), grilling, and playing tennis - we didn't let a minute of sunshine go to waste. Wish it didn't have to come to an end...

This casual dress, which is now on sale for less than $10, was the perfect go-to. I topped  it off with a seasonal plaid blanket scarf and matching, gray fedora. My favorite addition to the outfit though, was my new AIBI watch. This watch is the perfect mix of casual and chic. Dressed up or down, it's a great addition to any outfit. The camel color leather band is on-trend for the fall, and begins to mold to your wrist after the first wear. The crystal detailing is subtle, and the perfect touch of ladylike glamour.  AIBI watches also won't break the bank. All ladies watches are currently under $200! High end watches at affordable prices, how could you resist?
