If you follow me on Instagram you may recognize this dress from the iWRTIE Bingos & Bubbles Bash that I was the decoration co-chair for in April. I got so many comments on it, that I figured I should post it. Plus, I felt like the picture/lighting didn't quite do it justice, especially the cute cut-outs. 

With summer wedding season upon us, I think this look would be perfect for daytime or evening - just switch up the shoes and accessories accordingly! Unfortunately this exact dress is sold out (I was lucky enough to snag it on sale), but I found two similar styles here and here! Both are available in all sizes!

Fiery Red Cape Dress

With Memorial Day this weekend, it felt only right to kick start the week with a gorgeous red dress! 

What is it about the color red that always makes a bold statement and is everlastingly eye catching? This dress is everything and then some that you could want out of a cocktail dress. Perfect for a night on the town, or a summer wedding, it can be worn several different ways. Although it's a simple silhouette, the draped cape adds intrigue but doesn't require you to be a style expert - it can be worn with nearly anything and accessorized with any color. 

I felt "oh so 70's chic" in this look, and wanted to up the ante with this oversized statement necklace. I bought this necklace for my mom  a few years ago for her birthday, but ended up keeping it. #sorrynotsorry! Can you believe that it's made out of wood and covered in gold leaf? Meaning it's lightweight, but still packs a punch. I've tracked down two similar styles here and here.

There's nothing that screams summer more than gingham print, and this pink A-line dress takes summer style to the next level. The bow straps are detachable, which is perfect for making the dress go the extra mile. Plus, as you can see, it has pockets! I think all that's missing is a picnic and a bouquet of flowers!

Play up the "weekend vibe" by pairing it with a cute box bag (under $25) like I did, or dress it up with some open toe heels and a colorful clutch. This dress runs TTS and also comes in navy.

Jumpsuits are perfect for summer, and are a great alternative to wearing a dress. They can easily be dressed up or down, and are perfect for the city and on vacation. 

From stripes, to ruffles, floral print and peek-a-boo cutouts, there's a jumpsuit for everyone. Style tip: your figure can often get lost when you're wearing a one-piece, so be sure to define your waist!

I definitely am a girly girl and tend to gravitate toward dresses and feminine silhouettes. From lace, to patterns, prints and of course, pink, my style inadvertently is on the dressier side. 

That being said, I'm always surprised when I show up in a casual outfit, and my friends say to me, "I didn't think you owned jeans." Like...seriously?!? Of course I do! Truth be told, I own more pairs of jeans then I am willing to admit, and I wear them more often then my friends (and maybe my readers/followers) may realize. 

I'm a huge fan of street style, and like to try my hand at it once in a while. I wanted to double-dip in the Gucci trend that's everywhere and pair this belt with this shirt. It may be a little extra, but it's definitely a look I feel like I'd see on the streets on NYC! You know I am a dress fanatic, and I could't wait to share this one with you. I'm always looking to refresh my closet every season, and I love branching out and finding new brands to incorporate into my wardrobe. 

 I recently discovered this dress from Elizabeth McKay and it's been my go-to lately. Whether it's for work or play, it easily takes me from day to night. Not to mention, it's as comfy as can be. The silk material and hidden pockets update the timeless silhouette, and the ruffle sleeve adds girly flare. Speaking of timeless, this dress would literally look good on women of any age, with any body type. It's forgiving in all the right places, and the length is appropriate for any situation. 

 The neutral navy and white pallet gives you a lot of flexibility to play with different colored shoes and accessories. Plus, the tie belt could easily be swapped out for another cute waist cincher to give you a completely different look.
