How to Winterize Your Favorite Dresses

Dress | Jacket | Boots | Purse | Sunglasses | Earrings (similar style here and here) | Cuff

Happy Tuesday, everyone! I hope you had a great long weekend. We went to a movie, grilled, enjoyed brunch, and put up our Christmas decorations! I know it's a little early, but with holiday decor (and music) already popping up all over, I couldn't wait any longer. Plus, with Thanksgiving falling a bit later this year, I wanted to have everything up long enough to enjoy it.

Since holiday season is in full swing, it's about time that the temperatures started dropping here. Can you believe that we woke up to 38 degrees this morning?! Now I have to bundle up and start transitioning some of my favorite pieces (especially dresses) to be more winter friendly. I know I don't live in a climate where it snows, but even if you do, don't pack away all your dresses just yet.

Pairing dresses with boots & booties makes it possible to enjoy them year-round. These over the knee boots (which I also shared in my last post) are the perfect thing to wear with a dress during the winter. The over the knee length not only covers your legs while it's chilly, but still looks pulled together for the office, and fun enough for a night out. They elongate all body-shapes and sizes, and can easily be paired with nylons, as well.

Be sure to opt for neutral accessories this time of year. Forgo colorful purse or shoes, and instead top off your look with a colorful jacket. It'll seamlessly pull your outfit together, and maybe just brighten your day;)

Purple Paisley Dress

Dress | Boots | Purse (similar style here & here) | Bracelet | Earrings

Hello pretty paisley dress. I don't know about you, but I love paisley print. I feel like it's equal parts retro and trendy at the same time. Plus, it's hard to argue with these fun colors.

I loved making this dress seasonally appropriate with these cognac over the knee boots. You've undoubtedly seen them all over Instagram, but trust me, they are worth the hype. I never try to sell you anything that I wouldn't buy myself, and like most of us, I'm always hesitant to 'hop on the bandwagon' and buy anything that's being thrown at me left and right on social media. After hearing about these boots 100+ times, I decided to order them, and see for myself.

Once they arrived, I fell in love. They're easily one of my favorite purchases from last year. I liked them so much that I actually ordered them in the other two colors (black and gray), as well. Whether I'm wearing them with a dress or jeans, they stay taught on my legs, and don't sag. I've always had an issue with this with other OTN boots. The heels height also makes them great for all day wear. My only regret - not ordering them sooner.

The quality is great, and they're really comfortable Not to mention, I get tons of compliments on them (they definitely look a lot more expensive than they are). At just under $200, they are definitely worth the money, as well as the ~2-4 week wait time to get them. Currently they're 40% with code PREFALL, which makes them $97! Added bonus, you get free express shipping. They run a bit snug - especially if worn with socks - so I suggest ordering a 1/2 size up.

This post is not sponsored, I just really wanted to share something with you that I think you would love!
