I am definitely no expert when it comes to makeup, I usually just stick to a few simple products that have been my routine the last few years. But, I do like picking up the latest shade of lipstick and nail polish each season. I am however, very strict on my skincare regimen, to maintain a healthy glow and clear complexion. I'm that person that travels with a million and one different lotions and potions. 

Several of the items above are my go-to's including the Clarisonic brush. This product is a life changer. I was hesitant to purchase it a few years back because of the cost, and my only regret is not getting it sooner. Its sonic technology gently (yet deeply) cleanses pores, removing six times more makeup than manual cleansing. Happy Thursday, friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a week away? I cannot believe it's right around the corner - it definitely crept up on me this year. 

Thanksgiving has always been an important holiday to me. To me, the day is synonymous with the word itself. It's a time for self reflection, to be grateful for those who surround us and the ones we love, and to count our blessings. 

This year, like every year, I am thankful for my wonderful family. I never take for granted that we have health and wellness on our side, and know that we are so fortunate to have one another - I don't know what I would do without them. Moreover, I am happy that my health is in order, and that I am able to manage and control my arthritis today. 

I am proud and thankful to be a first time homeowner, and all the experiences that have come with it. I still have to pinch myself, because I can't believe it is mine. It has added to the foundation of my relationship with Adam, and has truly been a treasure. It is not something I take for granted, and I am very aware that the simple comfort of having a roof over my head, heat, and running water are niceties that are not afforded to everyone. 

I am grateful for our freedom, and for the wonderful men and women that fight to protect this country everyday. In light of the recent election, I have been really disappointed in the reactions of so many, and the horrible things we are doing and saying to one another. I am not a political person, but I hope we can come together once again and become stronger. I always tell myself, 'be the change that you want to see in the world.' 

I am thankful to be surrounded by so many inspiring and wonderful friends. If you had told me three years ago when I moved here that my life would be what it is today, I wouldn't have believed you. I am proud to have been given the opportunity to meet so many incredible people, and to get the chance to see what true friendship is. I also am thankful for each and every one of you, and your consistent love and support of Ashley Nicole Style. 

I am grateful for all the good and bad times I've experienced over this past year. They've given me the opportunity for growth, to make changes, and to continue down that path of being the best person I can be. I think people are always evolving and changing everyday, and I remind myself that we have one life to live, and I want to make it the best that I can. 

Lastly, I am thankful to be living my dream. I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, and that I wanted to live, eat, and breathe fashion, but I never thought that a passion could truly take on a life of its own. I've worked with brands I never thought I could, I've created strong bonds with the people at those companies, and I continue to be surprised by all the good things this blog has brought my way.

With the election craziness this week, I think Friday is going to be welcomed with more excitement then usual. After having company the last few weekends, I am definitely looking forward to getting the house back in order and having some quality 1-1 time with Adam (and Safari too). 

Recently I've been into trolling the internet for new online stores with unique pieces that aren't so run of the mill. We all like to set ourselves apart, don't we? I found this dress from StyleWe, and knew I had to have it (I mean how cute is the bow?!). I was a huge fan of the crochet trend that we saw all summer long, and thought this dressed up silhouette and pale lavender color was perfect for fall. This dress is great to take you from day to night, straight from the office to a night out. For daytime, I would pair it with black nylons, and transition it into evening by taking them off (assuming your climate is like mine in Texas). This would also look great with a pair of over the knee boots, creating a mix of sweet with sass. Shop some of my other favorite, crocheted pieces that are great for Fall below.

Hello cooler temperatures! I am so thrilled to finally start enjoying some fall like weather. Although I haven't liked the rain we've been getting (we definitely needed it though), I'm loving the 70 degree, breezy weather it brought with it.

I've been talking a lot about transitional pieces, and today I'm sharing my favorite piece with you - sweater dresses. Not only do I love them because I adore dresses more then anything, but because they are the perfect mix of polished and refined, with a little bit of wintery sex appeal. 

Case in point, the detail on this lace up sweater dress definitely takes it up a notch, and adds that oomph I'm talking about! This dress would be great for brunch with the girl's, a morning coffee meeting, or a fun date night. Pair it with black opague tights for chillier weather. 

The animal print clutch (which doubles as a crossbody) and booties give this monochromatic dress some added edge. To top it all off, I added this unique cuff, designed by CRASH Jewelry. This cuff was repurposed and made out of late model BMW 7 Series, and the single strip of stainless steel that runs across the middle, is from a Mercedes-Benz G550. How's that for cool?!
