Go-To Everyday Dress

Dress | Shoes | Purse (similar style here & here) | Sunglasses | Necklace | Bracelet | Earrings

Each season I love sharing with you some of my go-to everyday looks. You know, the outfit you can throw on for any occasion, from running to the grocery store, to an impromptu date night. It can be dressed up or down, and can be paired with different accessories, jackets, etc., creating multiple looks out of one piece.

If you haven't guessed, this leopard print dress is my current spring go-to. I know I'll definitely be wearing it for seasons to come, as well. The cut is so complimentary, and would look good on all body shapes & sizes. It also comes in several other patterns and colors, just in case leopard print isn't your thing. You can view all of the print/color options here

I loved playing up the color in the dress by pairing it with these cute rainbow baubles from fellow Houstonite, Golden Strand Jewelry. Rainbow pave pieces have been popping up all over, and I couldn't be happier. Not only are they bright and cheery, but they go with everything, which is great when you're on the go and travel.

Have a great weekend!

Floral Party Dress

I hope everyone had a wonderful holiday weekend, and that you were surrounded by family and friends! I was back home with my family in Wisconsin last week, and it was great to get to spend time with them. We all make an effort throughout the year to see one another as often as possible, but it's always challenging when you all live in different cities scattered across the country. Fingers crossed that in the future we'll all be in the same place, or at least a few hours drive from one another.

While I was back there, I had to temporarily swap out my Texas clothing for sweaters and leggings. Needless to say, I was glad to get home yesterday and get back into my shorts and dresses. Speaking of dresses, how pretty is this velvet one-shoulder party dress? I love that the print is totally spring ready, but that the color scheme and use of velvet for the flowers makes it appropriate for "in between" seasonal weather.

I got this dress during the Shopbop sale and unfortunately it's completely sold out. I tracked down several other dresses that are a similar style below, most of which are under $150!

Vacation Ready

Top | Pants | Scarf | Purse (budget friendly version here) | Heels | Bracelets | Earrings | Sunglasses

Whether you're planning your summer vacation, or just need some fun vacay outfit inspiration, look no further! This 'passport' pant and matching scarf, are what a vacation would look like if you could bottle it up. Bright, cheery, fun, relaxed and put together all at the same time. That's the making of any good vacation in my mind (or outfit for that matter).

Have a great weekend!

Leopard Fever

Blazer | Jeans | Camisole | Purse (similar style here & here) | Heels | Sunglasses (similar style here) | Necklace | Earrings | Bracelet

I've long been a lover of animal print. Zebra, leopard, tiger, you name it, I like it!

However, until the last year or so, I found it challenging to come across anything animal print that looked sophisticated. All I could find were bodycon dresses our 21 year old selves would love to have worn to Vegas. Luckily, the pattern has evolved, and now we're seeing it pop up on everything from dresses, to shoes, and blazers of course. Finally, animal print got its 'class' back!

Speaking of classy, nothing is more chic than a fitted blazer. Blazers have a way of taking any outfit up a notch, and make you look pulled together and professional. This blazer is from J.Crew, and is under $200. The price tag may seem a bit much, but the quality and the fit cannot be beat. I have several blazers from them, and they look like they were tailored just for me. You can't beat that! I am wearing a size 0 for reference:)

My Top Picks from the Shopbop Sale

Hi, friends!

The Shopbop sale officially started today, and I know I'm always down for a little retail therapy. I mean, who doesn't love a good sale? Plus, it's the perfect time to get your closet ready for spring. From now until Friday you can take 20% off orders under $500, and 25% off orders of $500 or more with code EVENT19

Shopbop is seriously one of my favorite online retailers, as I can track down pieces that are sold out elsewhere, as well as purchase must-have styles I can't find anywhere else.

Below is a curated collection of my favorite pieces. From swimsuits, to accessories, workout wear, and more, all my picks are currently available in all sizes and are under $250!

They also offer free returns, and if you're an Amazon Prime member you get free two-day shipping!

Our Stay at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun

TGIF, friends!

It has been an amazing week over here since we just got back from some fun in the sun in Cancun!

Adam and I love going to the beach. It's especially easy to jet down to Mexico since it's only a two hour flight away. Every time we go on a beach vacay, we never stay at the same place twice. We love trying new, different places and seeing all they have to offer.

This trip, we decided to go Cancun, and actually stay in the city. Usually when we fly into Cancun, we drive to Maroma, Playa Mujeres, and other places. Since this was a quicker trip, we wanted to make the most out of our vacation, so it made sense to stay "in the heart of it." After perusing TripAdvisor, Google, and Yelp, we decided to stay at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun.

The Ritz is a quick 20 minute drive from the airport, and just celebrated 25 years in Cancun. I have long been a fan of the Ritz-Carlton brand, having grown up staying at their properties. What I love about the Ritz, is that their service, accommodations and amenities are truly a five star experience.

We stayed in an Ocean Front room on the Club Level. As you can see from our pictures, the view from the room was stunning - seriously, I have no filters on any of these photos! The color of the water was that blue.

The Club Level is on the 8th & 9th floors of the hotel, and offered continuous food service throughout the day. The food service included breakfast, lunch, mid-day snacks, hors d’oeuvres, and hand-crafted desserts. It also included soft drinks, water, fine wines, cocktails, and liquors. It was a really nice addition to our stay, and definitely provided the all-inclusive aspect we love on vacation. The food was delicious, and it was hard to resist their homemade chips, pico de gallo and guacamole. Yum!

During our stay, we also enjoyed dining in their award winning Fantino Restaurant, and went to the Club Grill twice. The menus at both restaurants were amazing, although I was partial to the truffle burrata and filet mignon with foie gras butter. The service at both restaurants was beyond compare (as it was throughout the hotel), and they always made sure to add romantic, special touches. Since last month was our seven year "dating-anniversay" we were greeted with rose petals on the table, beautiful desserts, and a true fine-dining experience.

Although there are a lot of fun activities to do while in Cancun, we opted to enjoy our time on the beach resting, relaxing, reading, and enjoying their yummy jalepeno margaritas. Since we've been to Mexico a lot, we've previously visited the Mayan ruins, ziplined, parasailed, and all the other fun stuff, so we definitely didn't feel guilty in indulging in our books. I read Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine, which was the perfect beach read.

After five days at The Ritz-Carlton Cancun we've returned home sun-kissed and refreshed. I would definitely recommend staying at this property if you're headed to the Cancun area. From the gorgeous beach, to their pools, delicious restaurants, and friendly staff, you won't be disappointed.

Thank you to The Ritz-Carlton Cancun for partnering with me on this post. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands that make Ashley Nicole Style possible.
