Giving Thanks - Sharing What I Am Thankful for This Year

Happy Thursday, friends! Can you believe Thanksgiving is only a week away? I cannot believe it's right around the corner - it definitely crept up on me this year.

Thanksgiving has always been an important holiday to me. To me, the day is synonymous with the word itself. It's a time for self reflection, to be grateful for those who surround us and the ones we love, and to count our blessings.

This year, like every year, I am thankful for my wonderful family. I never take for granted that we have health and wellness on our side, and know that we are so fortunate to have one another - I don't know what I would do without them. Moreover, I am happy that my health is in order, and that I am able to manage and control my arthritis today.

I am proud and thankful to be a first time homeowner, and all the experiences that have come with it. I still have to pinch myself, because I can't believe it is mine. It has added to the foundation of my relationship with Adam, and has truly been a treasure. It is not something I take for granted, and I am very aware that the simple comfort of having a roof over my head, heat, and running water are niceties that are not afforded to everyone.

I am grateful for our freedom, and for the wonderful men and women that fight to protect this country everyday. In light of the recent election, I have been really disappointed in the reactions of so many, and the horrible things we are doing and saying to one another. I am not a political person, but I hope we can come together once again and become stronger. I always tell myself, 'be the change that you want to see in the world.'

I am thankful to be surrounded by so many inspiring and wonderful friends. If you had told me three years ago when I moved here that my life would be what it is today, I wouldn't have believed you. I am proud to have been given the opportunity to meet so many incredible people, and to get the chance to see what true friendship is. I also am thankful for each and every one of you, and your consistent love and support of Ashley Nicole Style

I am grateful for all the good and bad times I've experienced over this past year. They've given me the opportunity for growth, to make changes, and to continue down that path of being the best person I can be. I think people are always evolving and changing everyday, and I remind myself that we have one life to live, and I want to make it the best that I can.

Lastly, I am thankful to be living my dream. I always knew what I wanted to be when I grew up, and that I wanted to live, eat, and breathe fashion, but I never thought that a passion could truly take on a life of its own. I've worked with brands I never thought I could, I've created strong bonds with the people at those companies, and I continue to be surprised by all the good things this blog has brought my way.
