Jewel Tones

David Peck dress | Christian Louboutin heels | Zayver Jewels necklace and bracelet | Cartier Love bracelet

I love, love, LOVE this dress. Nothing is more feminine than gorgeous pastel colors, and the mix of colors in this dress is perfection. I am a huge fan of texture, and when I came across this tweed dress, I loved how it was the perfect 9-to-5 and beyond outfit.

As a stylist, I do not have a lot of the same dress code requirements that some of you do. That being said, I thought it was important to start sharing with you some outfits that I wear when I see my clients, go to meetings, or events, versus focusing mainly on my everyday style.

I think when dressing for work the best thing is to be conscious of your environment, and make sure to always err of the side of caution. For women, I think that means paying attention to the neckline, making sure that nothing is too short, and always be sure everything fits appropriately. One of the best pieces of advice I ever received was to invest in a good tailor - I couldn't agree more. Also, be aware and picky with the fabric your clothing is made out of - is it sheer, is it breathable, are you comfortable sitting or standing in it all day. All of these things are important no matter where you work.

Put your best foot forward and have a fantastic Wednesday!

  1. This dress is absolutely lovely! Paired with the sunglasses it gives you such a fresh take on a vintage style. Fits what you mentioned about length perfectly, as well. I would feel 100% confident wearing this piece to the office.

    Hope your week ends well!
