Stripes, flowers and polka dots, oh my!

American Eagle skinny jeans | Paige striped t-shirt | Galeries Lafayette scarf {purchased in Paris, similar style} | Nine West heels | Prada sunglasses | Goyard Saint Louis tote {available in store only}

When I first moved to Houston, I never understood how people could wear pants when it was 95 degrees out, and lets not forget about how much hotter it is once you factor in the humidity. Well, as you can see, now I am one of 'those people.' ;) haha.

I love my summer wardrobe as much as the next girl, but summer weather starts here in March, so by the time the rest of the country catches up, we've been wearing our sundresses and shorts for months. Plus, anytime you step foot inside during the summer in Texas, the AC is blasting, so you're freezing. This simple jean and t-shirt outfit is the perfect go-to on those days when you need a break from bright colors and warm weather sheath dresses.

This scarf has been my go-to recently, and I've been pairing it with everything. I cannot begin to tell you how many compliments I get on this scarf. I also have it in pink, which you may remember from my blog post last week (here). I like to think it is because I got them in Paris, but I'm sure what draws people to them is the unexpected color scheme, and fun mix of patterns. Everyone loves something that's a little different.

Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy your weekend!

  1. I am a huge enthusiast of that scarf ;) Also I LOVE these heels! I want to wear them with everything I own. They're so busy they almost seem like you could make them a neutral for that exact reason.

    Hope your weekend is full of fun!

  2. Hope you're having an amazing weekend, Shian! I know you and I both our loving our pattern mixing right now. It is so fun to see how seamlessly busy/different patterns and prints can actually go together and how terrific they look! Can't wait to see what else you put together in the future!

  3. The mixing of prints in this post is on point! I love how you mixed the stripes with florals with polka dots yet it all comes together so well with the color combo! Looks great!! Xo-Natalie

    1. Coming from you, that's a huge compliment! I am just loving mixing everything right now - fashion is always the best way to experiment. Now, I just need to get on the culottes bandwagon!
