Charming Charlie dress, purse, scarf, necklace, bracelet, and earrings ℅ | Lane Bryant sunglasses | Louise et Cie wedges
It's rare to never that I wear one brand head-to-to, but today this entire look is all from Charming Charlie (minus the wedges and sunnies), and it's all under $40!
If you have't heard of Charming Charlie you're missing out - it seriously is the best place ever. Think trendy shirts, dresses, jewelry, bags, shoes and tech pieces at insanely good prices. I first stumbled upon the store when I moved to Houston a little over two years ago. At that time, they used to have a huge store on the bottom floor of the Galleria (unfortunately this location has since closed). Luckily, CC has lots of stores throughout the U.S. (check their store locator here), and you can conveniently shop online, as well.
There's nothing better than snagging an amazing piece at an affordable price. This is especially true when it comes to something trendy that you don't want to waste your your hard earned money on. I've rounded up my top five trendy items right now, to buy for a steal, not a splurge.
1) Hats. As much as I love and have way too many of hats, it's impractical to spend a lot of money on them, especially trendy ones. Plus, when you throw them in your suitcase or bag, they end up getting smashed, so make sure to look for ones that are soft, even if they're cheap.
2) Key Chains. Pom pom key chains are all the rage, along with tassel key chains and a whole slew of other ones. Really well made ones (even one's made of rabbit hair) come at affordable prices. Pick one up in every color.
3) Phone Cases. I don't know about you but I love to switch up my phone case all the time. Next time you're in Walgreen's or CVS, look at their tech stuff, they have really cute trendy cases that aren't over $10. Online you can find great ones for less than $35, and you can switch them out for other ones when you're bored, or exchange with friends.
4) Trendy Jewelry. This may be easier said than done, but you really don't spend over $30 on something that you can only wear for one season (i.e. summer), or something that's only perfect for a tropical vacation. Finding fun. inexpensive jewelry is easy with places like Charming Charlie, Accessory Concierge, Bauble Bar, as well as H&M and Forever 21 (my two favorite).
5) Trendy Handbags. Right now we're seeing saddle bags pop-up all over the place, as well as beach ready totes with pom-poms and fruit on, and the uber popular tassel clutch/cross body bags. Although these are super cute and hard to resist, don't spend a lot of money on them. It is easy to find similar styles to these coveted bags, at a fraction of the price.
Shop all these items now - everything is under $88.
