Pink Flamingo

Happy Monday, and welcome to my first blog post!

I can hardly believe it's already June - where does the time go?! Summer is just around the corner, which means updating your wardrobe for the warmer temperatures. This body con flamingo dress was a must have when I first laid eyes on it. Pink is my favorite color, so it was natural that I flocked to it, but I also wanted to delve into the flamingo trend that is everywhere right now. From purses, to shoes, and cell phone cases, the perfectly pink creatures are on everything this season. How could I resist?

This dress made me reminiscent of a trip I made to Walvis Bay, Namibia a few years ago. I had no idea when I was embarking on the African country that's filled with sand dunes, that it is also one of the best places in the world to see the largest population of flamingos - it was breathtaking. We were given the chance to get up close and personal with the flamingos, which was an experience I will never forget. Traveling and fashion are always commingled for me. Whether it's an outfit eliciting a memory from a trip, or jewelry, clothing and accessories I bring back from other countries and add to my everyday outfit, I am always trying to create a look that's authentic and unique.

I am so happy you stopped by and I hope you'll stay for a while!
