Nordstrom Anniversary Sale 2018 - All You Need to Know

Happy Monday, friends! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is quickly approaching (early access starts this Thursday, 7/12), so here's all you need to know about the biggest sale of the year. 

What is it? 

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is the best sale of the year. Unlike other sales, this sale includes all new arrivals, instead of discounts on last season's trends. You'll see top brands like Stuart Weitzman, Tory Burch, Burberry, Movado, Rag & Bone, Nike, Diptyque, Clarisonic, Barefoot Dreams, and so many more, at discounts you won't find anywhere else. Added bonus, there's no promo code needed - all prices are as marked.

Key Dates

The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale early access is July 12-19. Early access is reserved for Nordstrom Card holders, only. Trust me, it is worth signing up for this credit card or retail/store card (that's what I have), as things sell out quick. You can still sign up here, to get early access. The sale will open to the public July 20th, and run through August 5th. On August 6th, all the prices will go up, so be sure to plan accordingly. 

Who's it for?

Everyone! There are tons of sale items for women, men, children, home and of course, beauty! Shop the Women's catalog here, and shop the Men's catalog here, so you can create your shopping list ahead of time. Tip: be sure to check out the catalog ASAP and add any items you're eyeing into your cart now. The sale can be shopped online, or in-store. I highly suggest shopping online, as not all stores will carry every item, and they may sell out more quickly. However, if you do choose to go that route, I suggest securing the item online ahead of time, before you head to the store, or getting in touch with your Nordstrom Stylist (if you have one).

Plan Ahead

As I just mentioned, the catalogs are available online, so definitely flip threw it now. The catalog is only a glimpse into all the marvelous deals this sale has to offer. Next, I suggest creating a strategy to help you figure out what you need, and making a budget. It's always tricky when things go on sale, and it is easy to click 'Purchase' and then having buyers remorse in the future. Sticking to your 'must have's' will help you avoid this. If you still get trigger happy, remember, Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns, always!

This is hands down my favorite/must-have purchase from the sale. The quality is great and the price is awesome ($65). Jacket also comes in suede.

I purchased these during the sale last year, and they are back again by popular demand. They are still a bit on the pricey side, but they are definitely worth the splurge, especially since they never go on sale any other time.

Happy Fourth of July

When I was younger, I went to an all girl's camp called Camp Nicolet, in Northern Wisconsin. During the few years I attended, I would be there over the Fourth of July. Fourth of July festivities included a day full of activities like horseback riding, archery, and sailing. When the evening rolled around, we sang songs around the campfire - I'm so rustic, right?!! One of the songs that we sang had a line that went, "It's Fourth of July and there's magic in the sky because it's Independence Day," I swear, every year when the 4th rolls around, I cannot help but sing that tune over and over in my head. Isn't it funny the things that stick with us over the years? Such fond memories.

This stars and stripes dress was an easy choice to wear this year. Not only is it effortless, but it's under $30, which is hard to argue with. I recently was sent this cute tote bag from Lisi Lerch, and I've been using it non-stop. You can customize it by choosing your bow color, and you can also add on a fun charm of your choice (I opted to just stick with the bow). It also comes in a larger size, which would be great as a beach bag or for a trip to the farmer's market. Both sizes are under $90 and would make a great gift!

Swimsuit season is here!

Although posting an itsy bitsy teenie weenie bikini is a little - ok, A LOT - out of my comfort zone, I couldn’t resist sharing this reversible Vera Bradley swimsuit with you.

You know I’m a big fan of the brand, and I love that they keep expanding their collection. They have so many cute suits this season, and most of them are under $100.

This darling butterfly coverup is also from Vera Bradley. I absolutely love butterflies, and like the fact that this pool/beach side staple has pockets.
