How is it already Wednesday? 

I just got back from Wisconsin, where I enjoyed a wonderful Fourth of July with my family. It was great to be home, and to have Adam and Safari there, as well. It was our first trip flying with Safari, and she did great! I have never flown with a pet before, so I was really anxious and didn't know what to expect (I've heard some horror stories). Well, she passed with flying colors - literally. I loved having her there with me, and she definitely loved the Midwestern lake life! 

On our way back Sunday, everything was going smoothly until our plane was approaching Houston. We've been getting a lot of storms here and of course, that night, there was a massive lightening storm. Luckily we landed safe and sound, but then, we sat on the tarmac - inches from our gate - for three, yes, THREE, hours. With no air, and a puppy in tow, it made for a not so nice welcome home. After all was said and done, we got home at 2am, so this week has been a bit chaotic.
