At Home with Sherwin-Williams - Office Reveal

Soon after purchasing our home, I partnered with Sherwin-Willaims to help me completely re-do the house. As I mentioned several posts ago, the endeavor of painting the house floor-to-ceiling, was much larger (and more stressful) then I expected. What I did know, was that color changes everything, and sets the perfect mood/flow for the house - it truly makes it a home.

After flipping through countless color swatches of what I thought I wanted, I was overwhelmed to say the least. I know it sounds ridiculous, but I truly wanted everything to be perfect and very 'us.' I also wanted the colors to compliment our decor, but also be flexible enough if our taste changes, or evolves. I was put in contact with a ColorSnap Consultant, which is a newly unveiled service that Sherwin-Williams offers at some stores. The consultant comes to your home, brings swatches of ALL the paint colors the company has to offer, and helps make your dreams a reality!

I explained to my consultant what look I was going for with the house, the warm tones I wanted, and what my vision was. Quickly she was sifting through swatches and pulled out six different colors - two for the walls, two for the crown molding, and two accent colors. As she pasted them up on the wall, I literally thought to myself, "That's it!" We settled on the colors for the house almost instantly.

The only room in the house that has a different color scheme is my office. When I shared my ideas with my better half, he was a bit hesitant, but he knows when I have my mind set on something, there's no changing it.

Pink has always been my favorite color, so it was important to me to incorporate it into a room that I spend so much time in. It was also important to me that when all was said and done, it would have a sophisticated, chic look, and not a babyish one. I knew I wanted a pink accent wall, and wanted the rest of the walls white to give it an airy feel (plus, it photographs well!). The final colors we chose for the office were Lovable, the perfect pink color you see, and Nice White. I wanted the room to have a glossy sheen to it, so we picked a Satin finish. The crown molding/accents are consistent with the rest of the house, and stayed the ivory color, creating a subtle, but distinctive difference between the white.

From my new desk, to my growing shoe wall, reimagined bar cart, accent pieces, coffee table books, and everything fashion forward and girly, without a doubt, this is my favorite room in the house. I have linked almost every item above, so you can add some of my must-haves to your home. If there's something I missed, be sure to ask me!

This post was brought to you in partnership with Sherwin-Williams. As always, all thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting the brands we love at Ashley Nicole Style.
